Well friends, its official.  I have booked a ticket to the lovely country of Uganda, Africa, where I will be working as an intern for FBW Group, an architecture firm in Kampala.  I'm jumping out of my skin with excitement!  More information soon. Must get through finals first.

Snarkitecture - Why Patterns

Oh. My. God.  Snarkitecture has inspired me again.  I can't remember how I came across their site, but I really love this little Brooklyn studio Snarkitecture is.   If you guys are reading this, let it be known that we are going to collaborate on something some day somewhere when I finish school.

I saw this new project up on their site, that wasn't there the last time I checked.  Its called Why Patterns , and this is how they describe it:

A collaboration with choreographer Jonah Bokaer, Why Patterns is a performance commissioned by Dance Works Rotterdam. The visual design emerges from a single ping-pong ball that is introduced into a frame on stage, initiating a series of choreographed games. Unpredictable results trigger events that flood the stage with thousands of balls, which are manipulated by the movements of the dancers as the square frame is collapsed.

Why Patterns had its world premiere on February 28, 2010 at the Rotterdamse Schouwburg in Rotterdam, Netherlands as part of the 3/Sense/Scene/Scenarios program. Click here for tour dates.

And here are some photos.  Via their site.
